DIY ribbon tweeters using alnico horseshoe magnets

Would stacking 16 of these on top of each other work as a starting place for a pair of DIY 4" ribbon tweeters? I'm thinking of using the stack of horseshoes and two 4" long neodymium bar magnets to close the 1/2" gap a little and focus the field.
I know the stronger the field in the gap the better. Would this be enough?

Hmmm, why not Neodymium?

Those horse shoes are pretty pricey and they only "lift a 4lb Fe object"

These Neos can lift 98lbs Fe!!!

I don't think it would be a very good start. I've been spending a fair amount of time trying to come up with a practical (and reasonably priced) DIY ribbon and the best place to start is the free FEMM magetic simulation program. Once you start playing around with magnets and other materials you will be amazed how little you know and how poorly your intuative first designs will work magnetically. At least this was true for me. BTW: I agree with andrikos that Neodymium is the magnet of choice but FEMM convinced me that square/rectangular magnets have many advantages in a ribbon over the cylindrical type he posted.
