Another option is to double up on the Vifa woofers, but you might have to some more saving.

Put an inductor in series with the 2nd woofer, so it's attenuated at the tweeter XO (where it's not needed). I plan to do the same with a different mid/woofer for my own dipole, which will definitely get done sometime this millennium.

BTW, why are you using the XT18WO09-08 over the XT18WH09-08? I've not heard a good explanation on the difference between the two models. The XT18WH09-08 is $10 USD cheaper at Madisound.

Yes, I also considered to double up on the mids, but don't feel comfortable with two drivers, it's a good solution, but prefer today to use only one. And no passive xover, btw.
Yes, it's cheaper the one you mention, but the reference I have is that this one sounds good. Maybe the other one is better, I simply have to choose one.

Yes, I will post pictures, of course.
