Why is it that they have such a high excursion (3mm p-p)? Does it result in higher distortion even when the coil is traveling very short distances? Anybody have any information on this tweeter besides the published stuff on Human's website?

The human tweeter is an evolution of the Winslow Burhoe tweeter 1st found in the EPI...

With such large potention excursion, it should be possible to cross them fairly low (EPI used a single 10 uF cap).

What do you think lets the diaphragm move so much, though? Simply a loose surround? Or the fact that it's underhung (IIRC)?
