...else that shows how a tweeter is constructed? Or are they made exactly the same way as all other electrodynamic drivers?

I think most are based on the standard electrodynamic topology. Here's some pics of an old Yamaha tweeter...

Is that black ring around the voice coil former in the third picture a spider? Do tweeters have spiders?

Technically I would say it's a surround, not a spider, but yes it does the same job. You don't need both because of the relatively small movement i.e. it provides sufficient restoring and centering force (plus the ferrofluid probably helps too).
