Default New speakers at RAW, have you used them?

I am new to DIY and want to build something using these drivers as RAW is local to me and he seems to know his stuff. I have talked to him about a design using these drivers but in general has anyone used them at all.

$25 usd for a 10 inch woofer, is it worth playing around with along with a small 150 watt plate amp from Raw or Solen?

Thanks for your imput,

BL

The specs for the 10" 8ohm A driver are much
better than the 10" 4+4 ohm DVC D driver.

The A driver should be fine in a sealed 1cuft box
or a 1.5 cuft to 2cuft box tuned to ~ 30Hz.

Yes they are priced very low just to move out the inventory for the family.
And yes not all that bad for the money.

Thanks

I have a couple of old 1.3 cu.ft (36l) vented sub boxes. One has an existing 8" and the other is about 90% complete and being used as a speaker stand.

I am thinking that retuning the vents to 30 Hz and using the A driver will work pretty well. F3 is not as good as the 1.5-2.0 cu ft the sreten suggests but still looks like a good bang for the buck upgrade with an f3 ~31 per Win ISD.

These would be used as stereo subs mostly for music crossed at 90 Hz in a apartment sized room.

Sound reasonable?
