I have heard both, but not side-by-side so I couldn't say one sounded better than the other. The components are equivalent in both and the x-over points are the same. That would lead me to believe there will be very little difference in the sound of the two.

Thank you for your reply Rodd!
I wanted to know if the crossovers are the same because in the pictures from the manuals the crossover from the 4333 looks it has more caps.Is the mounting of the horns and the woofer looking up in the l300s?Which one would you choose listening and built quality? Would you go with the pro or with the home version? Thanks again.

I guess I would lean toward the L300 mostly for its SAF. The glass top, wood grain, and slanted front are nice, plus it weighs quite a bit more than the 4333. The 4333 may have some advantage in the x-over design in the stock versions, but that's a very tweakable area where you could easily bring the L300 up to speed.

Are you limited to one of these two speakers?

No Rodd. These speakers are my dream system. And it is so confusing as I am trying for a long time now to find their diferencies.I want to buy one of them one day as the jbl sound is the only sound that puts tears in my eyes.I own a pair of celestion sl-12si now.The sound is very nice but they dont have that extra punch that I so much admire. They are more for hi-end british sound.I am so confused though now because the crossover is the most important thing for me.With what kind of amplifiers did you listen at them?Do you remember? Thanks.

I would say that if they were setup the same in a room, the difference would be too small to make up for the difference in appearence.

It has been quite some time. The L300's were in a store running on Nikko amps in the 80's and the 4333 were in a disco also back in the 80's. In either case, not what you would call the ideal listening conditions.
