Question ??? about speakers by Visaton

Hi everybody out there.

I would like to collect some different views upon speaker kits from the german manufacturer VISATON.
I have build quite a few kits made by them and I’m a member of their discussion board too.

But now I want to get some views upon their kits from people, who I don’t know personally.

My intention is to re- build my current speakers into the "Atlantis"...

Has anyone of you heard this Kit before? Please write down every point of view, you have.

Later on I plan to set up speakers for use in a rather small home cinema. These will be made of "Aria", combined with an active subwoofer.

It is a setup for use in flats, so it is mostly for low- level- DVD- watching...

Do you think, this is a good choice, I’ve made? Please leave a note on this point too...

I know,on this board the brand VISATON isn’t used so much...
And sorry for my bad english, too...

greetings, Benny

Default Star full Range pp Visaton with 6.5'' helper

We have some revelation results using a couple of dirt cheap but awesomely coherent Visaton FRS8's (8Ù, nonshielded is the star), in pushpull dipole plus a 6.5'' crossing 6dB @ 800Hz.

Why not add a sub instead of redesigning an existing speaker that works fine? With the Atlantis' dual woofers I assume your quest is for more bass? How low did you plan on XOing to the woofers?

I thought about adding a sub, but here in this flat, I'm linving in, it is a problem finding place...

Yes, I want a little more bass...

My Sub plays with 2x Visaton GF 200 in 80 l (separate chambers). I have attached a pic...

I have a "Detonation DT 150" here, and if I could find a place for my sub I would be very happy...

I wish a cutoff nearby 100 Hz...

Greetings, B.
