Can i drive a single VC sub on stereo? What i know is there is no stereo low down. If yes, how is the impedance and power rating done?

Can you drive it with what? Do you mean from a 2 channel stereo amp without a separate amp for the sub? If that's what you mean then yes, you can, but you have to construct a passive crossover to direct the low frequencies to it and away from the main speaker, which will preserve the proper impedance values. There is no true stereo down low from the standpoint of the ability to discerne directionality, but many older recordngs did pan LF information, so if you have the sub on one channel only you won't get any bass in some cases. It's best to have the crossover a LP summing configuration that hooks to both amp channels to get signal from both sides, and once you investigate the price that the necessary components will cost you'll find that you'd be better off to buy a plate sub amp in the first place.

This is the very first post I ever made on diyAudio. It deals with this issue:
How To "Bridge" A Stereo Amp to Just One Channel
