Hi,
This question is going to be incredibly stupid. Please bear with me. While building a 2.5 way system using two 8 ohm midbass units, the nominal impedance of the system till the tweeter crossover frequency will still remain 8 ohm, right? One more thing. Are there any good websites to learn about 2.5 way speaker design? Thanks, Vivek

Thanks for that reply but how does the impedance change?
Vivek

Just like Sreten said, it is four ohms for low frequencies and 8 ohms for mid frequencies. At low frequencies, both drivers are effectively connected in parallel, at mid frequencies a series coil effectively disconnects one of the drivers.
