To sidestep the question, there are similarly sized bits for a lot less money from several places. A 1.25" radius bit from Grizzly is $33.95 I used it on my latest project and it worked well, giving a smooth cut. I guess it would not last in a production environment, but that's not what I do. Bits that big are scary, even when the router is slowed down. I had to make a special base to accomodate its size.
I have no idea if it did anything to the diffraction, but imaging is wonderful. I am using a Focal 6W4254 and T120TD5 in a 10" wide baffle with a 1.25" radius roundover on three sides. another possibility for large radii is to use ready made mdf quarter rounds. anderson international trading (aitwood.com) and tape-ease tapeease.com) are two retailers. |

Actually I was going more for a Focal/JMLab look.
My ISP does not allow direct linking to pictures, so here is a shot: EDIT: Hmm - attachment doesn't seem to work. I'll post a pic when my kid gets home from school. He'll show me how to do it |
