Default 6 inch flared ports

Every year I seem to be looking for some 6" flared ports.
It's that time of year to ask again, has anyone found any
yet ?

<don't want to use two 4" flared ports>

the obvious question is why not ?

Flaring allows smaller diameters than what would seem
appropriate, but by the time you get to 6" diameter
generally port velocity issues are not an issue,
so a 6" flared port is unlikely to be sensible.

AFAIK a 4" flared port is ~ = a 6" plain port.

So a 6" flared port = 9" plain - never ever seen one.

It does exist, the link below takes you to a norwegian shop who sells 3", 4" and 6" flared ports. Unfortunately I don't know where you can get them in your country.

Well my Norwegian is zero at best, but as far as I can tell
the inner diameter of the flared ports is 103mm = 4".

Well, my norwegian isn't that good either, but chances are it is better than yours... I think the page describes 68, 134 and 154 mm (3" 4" and 6") tubes, flared to 118, 167 and 214 mm.

Anyway, the box would have to be large, or fh high, if the tube is not to be very long.

Why would you want to buy 6 inch flared ports?
If you really want them, Make it my friend!

You can get your potters table out and have it made from clay!
Its been done, They sound quite nice too, but they need to be thick,
Or get a 6 inch drain gutter made from PVC plastic, heat the throat of the pipe, slowly!
Then press down with a plate or bowl and that will give you the flare you want.
Or just get a Exhaust maker to shape a metal trumpet for you.
This is a little Blue Peter but its fun.
If you do make it please post a picture

The Aeroport seems to be the only commerical offering,
but last year the company said they didn't offer the 6" size
anymore.

I could use two 4" flare ports, but the flare size is 7" and I don't
have 14" of space so I wanted a single 6" flared port. I will
need 6 ports for six 15" woofers.

One 4" flared port created too much port noise for my liking.
I'm trying to get the best sound quality and need a larger
port.

Worse case I would have to use 6" plastic pipe and
make some flare ends out of wood using a router
to create a small flare.

I can't find 6" pipe at the hardware store or home improvement
centers. <-- hehe

Default Flared port

Make them!!!
I've been doing them for ten years ever since there was an article in the JAES about their positive benefits.
It's not that hard

What do you use them in?
Woofer size and box size and what kind of sound do you get from a 6 inch port?

I've found 6" PVC pipe at Home Depot. You can find it for sure at Plumbing Contractors Supply. There you can get schedule 40 PVC (typical white stuff) or the schedule 80 PVC (heavy duty black with thicker walls and take higher temps).

Another possibility is a rectangular port.
