Use Orcad for speaker / crossover simulation

I have written a guide on how to use Orcad to do speaker and crossover simulation. I hope that would be useful to those who do not have professional speaker simulator tools.

I use Orcad because it has a free student version as well as a functional demo version for download. Orcad is also a professional tools in circuit simulation/design, so you can have lots of functionality as well.

This is my first time using Orcad for speaker simulation, there may be a better way of doing it....

Likewise with some enthusiasts, I started out using Orcad. But the need to manually-enter measurements in an FTABLE turned me off -- imagine typing 3 x hundreds of data points for just one driver unit! So I made my own simulator

... Working on the graphical schematics editor at the moment (then perhaps support for opamps)

I have the OrCAD suite. Thanks for the info!

BTW, has anyone used MATLAB / Simulink for simulations?

You are right, the FTABLE is a pain to use. That's why I only put in 20 points per drivers.

Your own simulator looks awesome , I am waiting for your graphical schematics editor!

There is not much free and good speaker simulator out there, that's why I use SPICE simulation.

Adding rows

Hi Alex,

How do you add rows in FTABLE?

In the Property Editor,add new row as the ROWn, then edit PSpice Template.
