Default Sneakpeak at a new speaker I'm working on.

Here is a clone of Mission's Pilastro speaker.

Its not for me however its for a customer.

Lots more work to do including the plinth and cosmetic side panels.

It may resemble a Mission Pilastro but its a Visaton 2 way design.

You simply can't call it a Mission Pilastro clone, visual homage at best.

Indeed it looks like the Visaton "Topas" transmission line.
You built the Topas before and seem to like it.
Any comments, comparisons to other speakers?
Would love to hear one of those and see how tight the bass really is.
To expensive to just give it a try.
Mmmh, should head down to Visaton one day....

Yep, my bad.

Never meant to make out it was an 'exact' copy. Just some styling cue's stolen from Mission's Blueprints.

It is of course a Topas shoe horned into a Pilastro style cabinet.

Still looks better than anything 'cubic' - lol

Nice looking.

My Dad used to make me scrub the driveway when I did that, eventually I began keeping pieces of cardboard boxes around.

Its my back garden so there's no one except the wife to moan.

You are right however and I wouldn't dream of normally doing that sort of thing but we're about to landscape the whole lot so the block paving will be comming up.
