Default Speaker Building

I'm fairly new to the science of speakers, but I've found this site to be a valuable resource. Currently I'm trying to study speaker building from a series of books and coming up short. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to purchase speakers for a home theater and then I can get a hands on look while I build my own cases for them. Or are their kits for this type of thing? Any input is appreciated.
Red pill or blue pill....hmmm red for the Redwings and blue for the Blues Brothers...take both and have purple for...for...hey Neo wait up you, which one did you take eh?

Would seem like a shame to buy something if you're really interested in building. You might have a look at these if you haven't already located them:

www.speakerbuilder.net - Check out the HT project

www.madisound.com - Look for their Audax home theater kits

www.partsexpress.com - Go to their "Ask the Experts" forum and have a look through the "projects" showcase/gallery.

There are also lots of other great kits that could be easily adapted for your needs.

Good luck!
