Electronic crossover possible?

I am a owner of classic B&W M802 S3. Now I'm planning to make it bi-amping, totally 4 monoblocks using aleph-2 or aleph-x circuit.
I am also considering whether it is better to adding an opamp based electronic crossover right after the pre-amp, that seems to make clear separation and optimal use of efficiency.

I do not want to remove the passive cross-over in M802. Does it sound good to add additional electronic cross-over at 500Hz as indicated in M802?

The c/o of the B&W will be the resulting acoustic output,
not the electronic filter function to be applied to the drivers.

You should simply 1st order bandwidth limit the input to the
amplifiers and still use the internal passive crossovers.

So for the mid/ treble amplifier lower the input coupling
capacitor so bass rolls off say below 250Hz.
You can also use higher quality lower value capacitors
internally if this is relevent to the Aleph designs.

For the bass amplifiers you need to add a series resistor and
capacitor shunt to ground to roll-off treble say above 1KHz.

You will get much better dynamic range from the amplifiers,
moreso the mid/treble amplifier as it will not be swinging as
much bass voltage, there is an arguement to use a less
powerful amplifier for mid/treble compared to the bass.

I'd also expect the mid/treble to be an easier load than the bass.
