Ok so I got the behringer DCX (like everyone else here) I have to say that I am really impressed with it-
I decided to try to tune my current nearfields and sub for better accuracy- What I am wondering is what program are you guys using for tuning and what is the Rta's weighting? I tried tuning with a "Flat' RTA setting (waves paz vst plugin) and it was way too much trebel- Then I tried A wieghting- This sounds pretty good but it seems a little dark on top and sub is up way loud and still measures -10dB below the monitors-. Not bad for hip hop but horrible for Jazz- Part of it is that my sub is boomy and distorts alot- On the sweep tests the harmonics are often higher then the fundamental. Also what about other tests- phase tuning etc- does the DCX have an auto Phase allignment program? OR how do I go about testing for phase linearity? Also- Sweep or pink noise? Wich is better for actual room tuning- Eg I want in room accuracy not simulated anechoic accuracy. Thanks for any advise. BTW the Behringer Sounds great, Ryan |
