I think your TB3 surrounds look very cool. Original and B*** style.
The 871 with the 879's are full range? Also the center with 3 871's are also full range? Could you compare the complete HT setup (w/Elf1.5's) with some of the commercial setups available? Also some comments on the setup with music.... Thank you,

The surrounds run full range. For my use I don't see the need for discreet surround speakers. BJ enjoys the 3 driver center channel. I would prefer more bass response and so I'm in the process of coming up with something a little more substantial. For movies the center channel is very important unless you're using a phantom center. For music the mains are the most important. One exception would be certain types of 5.1 channel music. The Telarc recording of the 1812 Overture will sound it's best if the 5 speakers are all 20-20K. The Elf HT systems mostly remind me of the Energy Take 5+1 system. Bob, Al, Danny and Jim have done a lot of work with the TB drivers and have more designs than you see on the web. Unless you're in this for the joy of experimentation I would recommend going with one of their designs.
