I am going to building a set of Proacs over the summer and rite now I use some 12 gauge wire to connect the speakers to the amp.
I see Teflon mentioned from time to time but I wonder why not just use the same wire that I will be connecting the amp to my speakers for the internal stuff. I ask this question because on the DIY Proac 2.5 site they mention that I should use he internal cable is Bandridge Superflex OFC LC 7403. http://www.bandridge.nl/index2.htm I did a bit of searching and it looks like these topics get flamed from time but I would really like to know why the 7403 is recomended. |

You'll get plenty of replies that suggest that the insulation should not be teflon but the flaxen hair of a maiden.
I vote for 18 ga. zip. |

Nothing less then the freshly shorn hair from unborn sheep will suffice... Or some 18ga hookup wire. |
