Question DIY Coaxial Question

Hello,

I have a big question.

I am planning to start a project of designing a good pair of speakers for my audio system

Currently I have a Cary CAD 300SEI integrated a Cary 308 CD player and a pair of Soliloquy SM2A3 Monitors.

I was considering designing the speakers around a 15” coaxial transducer and the cabinet in vertically layered panels like the Kharma Exquisite Reference.

The problem is: which coaxial transducer is the best there are few in the market:

Altec new 604-8L
Radian
PAS
Paudio
B&C

Other option I consider was to build a horn loaded speaker using the TAD TL-1601c woofer and the TD-403 driver

Or maybe buy a par of TAD MODEL 2404. That way I don’t have to do all the work but I will be broke .

Please help I think the best way to go is with the coax since my family room is 15’ by 14’

Thanks in advance

Eric
