my 8555-01 plays loud and powerful . I like it so very much that make me wonder how would sound a bigger 12" woofer.
If Iīd start this projet again (see pic) I would go for a 12" instead. Just ...is more money!!!. I donīt know anything about the other SS driver... ma luce piu bello! |

hi ermes,
I had the 8555 with 18W/8545-00 in mids, and sounded correct enough with a vented box of around 44 liters. I was thinking to try try with less liters, to get maybe more punch, but later I ,ve changed the mids for Audio Technology C-Quenze 15H and the 8555 has not SPL enough to be with this great driver. Finally I`ve changed the woofer for a 12", and Iīve sold the 8555. Past week Iīve heard the 8851 T at friendīs home ans I liked veru much, more powerful than 8555 in a TL configuration. Itīs important that you choose a mids that fits with the 8555. |
