Ive got a presentation to give on loudspeakers and dont know the correct pronunciation for thiele. Is it theelee or theel as in phonetical spelling.
Any help appreciated. Matt

I've always pronounced it "teal" but I could easily be wrong.

I have also always referred to it as "teal".

I just called and spoke to the receptionist. She said it was "teal" just like the "color"(her words).

Isn't that a german name calling for "teele" as pronunciation?

It is, but that is difficult to pronounce for english speakers. The short "e" at the end of the word is the problem. It is pronounced something between an "a" and an "e". When I think of it, the "e" in "when" is the correct one.
