Hi,

I am trying to design an enclosure for a bipole. With a Jordan JX92s on front and back.

about 1 cu foot tuned to 45 Hz in a vented enclosure. Port on front and back.

So..

Can I use WinISD for bipoles??
Is a narrow baffle better than a wide one?

I kind of want to tailor my baffle using the Edge program to compensate for actual frequency abberations on the driver.

What should I do??

Thanks!

You don't need seperate ports, use one on the back.

Use the "Edge" to give a smooth response but ignore
any indication of BSC required, bipoles don't have BS.

Run both drivers full range.

Preferably mechanically link the two drivers and have
a decoupled mounting arrangement for the assembly.

This can be done with rubber grommets in the (drilled out ?)
mounting holes and using a flexible sealant or foam around
the drivers.

One way of doing it is designing depth so the the two drivers
can be mechanically linked back to back with "liquid nails".

For a ~ 1cuft box I strongly recommend a sealed alignment,
though a 45 litre box tuned to 33Hz looks workable if a sub
is not being used.

:) sreten.
