Default D3's

I am thinking about building a set of the dayton III's for my listening area. This would be my first DIY speaker project but I am looking for something cheap(sub 200) and to go with my newly created gainclone.

Are there any good floorstandings for under 200?

What about stand-mounted bookshelf-size speakers?

There are quite a few decent floorstanders for under $200... my 1st set of BD-pipes was much less than that.

And a set of Buschorns would be even less (and given recent audions, better)

The D3's can easily be converted to floorstanders.

They mentioned roomsize being small.

This is the listening area rite now and my speakers are sort of jury rigged ATM. But the room is quite large and I am really never in one place at once but mostly at the kitchen table. I am thinking of moving the speaker so that they face towards the kitchen and are in front of that large winow in the 1st and 2nd pictures.
