We would have to know more information about the individual drivers to design a satisfactory crossover network.
However, if you want a simplistic answer then here it is:
If your tweeter is 8 ohm then a 4.7uF non-polar capacitor in series will give a crossover frequency of 4,000Hz, with a roll-off of 6dB per octave.
To match this you should place a 0.3mH inductor in series with the woofer.

The SEAS 27TDC06 I have found has a textile dome and an aluminium voice coil former.
Impedance is 6 ohm, sensitivity is 90db and recommended high pass crossover is 12dB/octave at 2,500Hz. Specs for the woofer are easy to find
If you want to keep it simple my original suggestions will work but maybe the crossover designers will jump in now!

many thanks for your help!
Not much in the way of answers here... 😱
This is one way of doing it:
Silver Flute 6.5 8ohm/Discovery D2606
For an MT that equates to 2mH series, 6uF+0.2mH+2R shunt on the bass filter which we call an elliptical filter or notched second order. Tweeter filter would need more attenuation, of course. I've used 1.8mH and 6.8uF myself, with a little 4.5kHz tank notch.
ODougbo has done loads of these sorts of things. Just search them out. I think 4.7uF would be a bit small to be useful on the tweeter.
Very useful and instructive build here by Michael Chua at Ampslab, The Starling, which I like very much. It's a clever and original design:

I wouldn't have thought your drivers are much different to his.

impedance will not be 6 ohms at 2,500hz.
and what does that mean?
It really means 'may' not be.
As a beginner, fitmartin, you may not be aware that 6 ohm is just a nominal figure. The actual impedance varies with frequency and crossover designers like to know the exact impedance at the crossover frequency.
According to the manufacturer's curve, the impedance of your tweeter is substantially flat at around 6 ohm from below 2kHz to above 6kHz, if that's anything to go by!.
Am I correct in assuming that you have never built a crossover circuit before?

You may have missed it but, in his duplicate thread, Martin declared that he was 'totally in the dark on this'.
Can you suggest a simple but adequate crossover circuit to suit Martin's drivers - one he may feel confident enough to tackle?
I'd do it myself but the experts on here would probably shoot my circuit down in flames!

Hmm... Biggish 30L box, 8" wide, presumably reflex. These drivers, Silver Flute W17/8 6", plus 1" SEAS 27TDC.

Cheap and cheerful circuit for those two, if you don't fancy adapting the Starling (which is not way different on drivers...) design is the below. Just adjust tweeter level to taste. I had a look at a few Odougbo designs, and he wanders around so much, I couldn't really choose one. 😀
No 5kHz notches here, so not "Le Dernier Cri", and I substitute Visaton drivers fairly freely to see how it works... but then Michael Chua eschews notches too: http://www.ampslab.com/starling.htm
