Considering Dynaudio 1 X D260, 1X 17w75 (4 ohms used as a midrange) and 2 Hivi D8.8+
(8 ohm parallel = 4ohms). This is going to put my impedance pretty low (based upon frequency),
right? Like, too low. Using with Conrad Johnson MV100 tube amp 4 ohm tap.
Should be a normal 4 ohm load with a decent 3 way crossover design.
I was thinking the same thing. I thought I'd check.
Most crossovers present a higher impedance outside of each driver's useful range,
so the parallel sections don't reduce the overall total impedance, like resistors in parallel do.
The amplifier sees the woofer's impedance at LF, the tweeter's impedance at HF, etc.
