I have 2 of the 4.5" Vifa/JBL woofers off of parts express/ I would like to pair these with an inexpensive tweeter for a small monitor for my computer. Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive tweeter to pair with these? Also, Should i but two more and go with 2 MMT speakers with an overall impedience on 8 ohms, or do a 2 way and have an overall 4ohm impedience?

If you mean this driver then it has response issues that make it extremely difficult / impossible to use for normal 2 way MT or MTM speakers. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=299-432 http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=299-433 If you mean either of these drivers then I could make some hopefully sensible suggestions. |

Well according to the PE response graphs there is strong
step down at 1Khz which is very difficult to correct. And impedance is 4 ohm per driver. Bizzarely as it may sound they are best suited to a TMWW arrangement wired in series for 8 ohm and with the TM drivers around 85/86dB and the 2 W's rolled in for BSC, limited bass being OK for HT. Or a straight TMW, TM the same, but 4 ohms in this case, with relatively limited power handling re a pair. |

Well, i was wanting to wire 2 of them in series for an 8 ohm load, then use an 8 ohm tweeter. How hard is this dip to correct?

Well, would 2 of these, used with 2 Dayton 6.5s and a tweeter work in a mtmww setup?
