What brand?

Can some one identify these speakers on these pictures taken at GW?

No brand name on them nor on grilles.

Heavy and strong.

1970-80?

No idea. Try taking out the midrange and see if it has a label that has lasted.

It's definitely not Acoustic Research however.

They look a lot like the Quadraflex (Pacific Stereo house brand) I had back in college. Cheap then, horrific sounding. Not really worth more than the wood in the cabinet, if that is what they are.

Looks like some CTS drivers in there. Doesn't narrow down the box maker but...

I’m thinking jplesset is in the right track - look like any number of CNN(cheap ‘n nasty) private labelled house brands / white van specials that flourished during the 70s and 80s. There were more than a few local manufactures in our own neighbourhood that jumped on that bandwagon. The use of low cost OEM drivers wasn’t necessarily a guarantee of poor performance, but combined with minimal understanding of acoustics and filter design ......
