I want to build this:
http://www.humblehomemadehifi.com/do...-SE%20Mk-I.pdf But with a different tweeter (Seas 25TAFN/QG-TB2, similar to seas 27TAFNC/D) But first i will try to simulate the original Hatt SE MK1 with the H883 tweeter. I cannot get the simulation to make sence. When reversing tweeter polarity i do not get a big dip at the crossover frequency. Am i doing something wrong? |

Could you attach zipped zma's and frd's, baffle measures so that I can check within another simulator?

This are the file i use. I do not have measurements with the baffle.
It is taken from the published data from seas |

Hey bcrazy, you have zero values for all the phase angle data. First have it calculated with Response Modeler, an Excel spreadsheet, then try again. Have you got the files of midwoofer also?

It looks better, now the summation curve is 5 dB above XO point and before it was 3.

Does a crossover design necessarily have to have a massive dip at crossover frequency with reversed polarity?
I do not really understand the effect of phase. Why does it matter if the frequenzy response curve is flat? Is it any difference with series vs parallell crossovers in this case? |

Ok I'll try and help myself
![]() I have now measuered both the woofer and the tweeter (in a baffle with dimensions as Box). Modified the original filter and it now looks like this. I can not get the small bump at 1000 hz any flatter. What do you guys think? Dotted curve is with reversed tweeter polarity |
