I would like to add some extra cubes to the bose acoustimass 5. The system is for listening to audio (cds etc ) only. Can this be done? If so how? Ideally I would like to reserve zone b of my receiver for sound in another area of the house. If I need to, I could use a speaker selector form niles. But someone told me that doing so would reduce the output significantly. Is this really true?

If you have a decent receiver that can handle a 4 ohm load it will not reduce the output. Get something other than Acoustamass and you'll be glad you did!

The 'Neucleus' by Gallo Acoustics is great. Look up www.roundsound.com for the info.

Sell the acoustimass and build yourself a nice new set of speakers. There are plenty of really good designs out there.
