Simple 2-way with the Beyma TPL-150H and JBL 4647A

Hey guys

Would a Beyma TPL-150H work with a Jbl 4647a cabinet? I think that JBL (featuring the 2226H) will work up to 1200hz-ish and that's where the Beyma would come in.

Wanted to sanity check the idea with folks here.

WELL, the Beyma ProAudio design books(free BeymaEnclosureDesigns2008) use a 1000Hz LR4/LR4 crossover between TPL-150H and Beyma 15" midbass drivers.

BUT, TPL-150H owners on diyAudio strongly recommend a 1600Hz or higher crossover.

SO... SURE The TPL-150H will work with the JBL 2226H using a 1200Hz LR4/LR4 crossover, BUT you will probably LIKE the sound but never LOVE it.

The 2226 sounds good at 1600hz when used with an aperture plate.

I guess I'm thinking about the combo in the context of Spatial using that Beyma with a dipole AE 15" in a two-way setup (open baffle, though). They're claiming it can reach down to 18hz.
