Any killing is needless. What I linked is just one example that is well documented. It also happened 80 years ago an lit the world on fire, 26 years ago in my country, today it is Syria, Afganistan, Irak etc. Tomorrow it will be .... ? Who knows.

Important thing is that it is happening and we are doing very little to prevent it.

Sorry, can't see anything on this stamps.

Perhaps FM's computer cache ( altered-reality bubble ) doesn't permit him to realize what you're getting at ( it happens to all of us ).

(Hopefully), here are 4 full-size versions ( let me know if they won't expand to > large ).

Distortion measurement of the 8ohm version (TW030WA12) taken 500mm from front plate:

Here's the ScanSpeak Revelator D2905/9900-00 taken under the same conditions:

And finally the 18Sound NSD1095N In the XT1086 horn:

Here's a ScanSpeak D2604/833000 In a Dave Pellegrene waveguide:

Can be purchased here at 70€ :

Wavecor TW030WA12 - AudioTransducers.com

- It have very nice linear frequency response

- Very nice Distortion plot , similar performance or a little better than the d2908-714000 berylium tweeter

How low do you think the ScanSpeak D2604/833000 In a Dave Pellegrene waveguide could be crossed? I found I couldn't get any lower than around 2.2k without It spitting at me, and yet people over at partsexpress were saying It was good for 1k.

I have never used that tweeter. The distortion in the waveguide looks great, but that graph is only one variable. If it was spitting at you, there is probably something else going on. Some drivers look great up to a certain SPL and then exceed their excursion limits dramatically. The LD22 crossed at 1600Hz never gave out, even when my ears started to. This information, combined with the FR, distortion, and CSD graphs of the TW030, convince me that these Wavecor tweeters are right up there with the heavyweights and not too many people seem to realize it.

Zaph says this about the ScanSpeak D2604/833000 In his blog - Quote "You could probably cross over as low as you wanted, though if you go down to 1.5kHz I wouldn't count on it getting too loud. Maybe 2.2 or 2.4 kHz LR2 could work."

Anyway, regarding the Wavecore - As the saying goes "the proof of the pudding is in the eating". I'll see how low It really goes when I use It In my next build...
