Nothing wrong with using a Zobel on a CD if it makes your HP filter behave better.

Erik, I may have assumed too much .

In regards to you referring to 'a Zobel', where Zobel compensation as I see it is a state, and a Zobel network is not a predetermined network, I thought I'd clarify because this is often unclear to newcomers and compensating a compression driver is so much harder than most common drivers, as you know.

On the other hand, though, IF you pad down the driver by at least 10dB or so with a suitable L-pad or with an autoformer + shunt resistor, then the resulting impedance will be almost perfectly flat.
