I can buy a pair of KEF R800ds from a local store for $120, one of them is badly damaged (ran over by a car, not sure how that even happened) but the other is perfectly good.
It seems that these R800ds use the same driver as the R100, which is based on Q100 driver.
Soooo... I'm thinking about building a pair of small desktop speaker to use with my computer using two drivers from the good speaker.
I want to build something sealed (easier for first timer like me) about 40-45cm tall, less than 20cm deep and preferably less than 20cm wide.
Can you suggest me a suitable cabinet volume and if possible what can I expect from them?
