Default Transmission line theory: terminus output

What design of transmission line will give me the greatest output from the terminus? (for augmenting low bass performance)

If you mean which yields the widest LF BW, then a reverse taper (compresion loaded). If max SPL over some limited BW, then positive taper (horn).
