List of the most suitable drivers for extremely small cabinets

Hi, I am searching for specially designed bass drivers capable of great extension from very small sealed cabinets. Large power handling, large Xmax and good linearity are the priorities as well as reasonable price. Drivers are to be used in active DSP system.

For now, I am gathered some of examples:

6.5": (4-6 dm3)
Peerless SLS-P830946
Wavecor SW182BD01/02 (Discontinued)
Tang Band W6-1139 SI/SIF

8" (6-9 dm3)
Wavecor SW223BD02
Tang Band 740x
Tang Band 1363SB
Tang Band 1747A
Dayton Audio RSS210HO-4

10" (9-13dm3)
Peerless XLS10 (P830452)
Seas L26RO4Y

etc..

Do you have any more examples? or any better ideas? Did you work with these drivers? Which of them would you recommend best?
Thanks!

Hi I suggest you download and play with winlsd. I am only familiar with the 830452 which I can say works excellently in a 38l sealed box, but I am in a smallish house. what airspace do you want to fill? I assume small cos you want small boxes :) . Budget + small + bass = SB17nrx + 29mm tweeter in a 15-18l sealed or vented box.
I'm sure others have their favorites :)

What do you mean by "extremely small"?
I have already written:

6.5-inch driver: 4-6 dm3
8-inch driver: 6-9 dm3
10-inch driver: 9-13dm3

Devialet Phantom is a good example but you cannot go do DIY shop to simply buy Devialet drivers...

Peerless P830452 (XLS10) and Seas L26RO4Y are deffinitely the kings of 10-inch drivers for extremely small enclosures but Seas is more expensive and takes more place inside of enclosure. What about smaller drivers?

And it seems you've found the winner among 6.5-inchers! Thanks for sharing! Large Xmax from XBL2 motor, low distortion, aluminium cone, very good consistency, not so expensive, resurrected to the market... But what about power handling? European market availability?

Search is still in progress, will something unexpected knock down Peerless XLS10/Seas L26RO4Y twins in small cabinet very bottom efficiency besides IPAL monsters?

Someone suggested using MFCL woofer from SBAcoustics which indeed does very good job for 8" in small sealed cab: 8'' SB23MFCL45-4 :: SB Acoustics

Which is relevant for SB is rather small cone area considering mounting diameter.

I found solid performers among 12-inchers: Dayton RSS315HO-4 and Peerless XLS12 (P830500). Tymphany claimed (I asked them directly couple days ago) that XLS12 is still in regular production and they assured that it absolutely will not be discontinued.

6.5": (4-6 dm3):

Monacor SPH-170C
Monacor SP-6/100PRO
SB Acoustics SB15MFC30-04 (smaller but can be used in very small cabinets and has large linear xmax)

8" (6-9 dm3)
Monacor SPH200TC
Monacor SPH225C

10" (9-13dm3)
Go 12" here - SPH300CTC - have one right one and its a monster that can work in 35l.

Monacor have a large distribution centre in Poland, maybe they can offer you competitive pricing. They`re in Wroclaw.

SB Acoustics SB29NRX75-6

Closed box in 14 Liters (Q 0,707)

By my calcs 14 litres gives Q=1, it takes 33 litres to get Q=0.707
