;) It is a ceramic cone or a ceramic coated metal cone ?

Might also be ceramic coated paper, Focal made cones like this and called them W glass, Silver Flute too, i guess a chimical treatment leaving a mineral coating at both faces of the cone...

Break up modes are strong but somewhat scattered.

Regarding these SBA, the 8' is interesting, the rest me-too midwoofers as plenty on the market, nothing new under the sun, simply more choice for diyers...

The W has a foamed rohacell core if I don't mistake, don't know how they coat the "glass" but the surface is not smooth, a little like grain of sand...

Or it's FauxCal !

There are finally many drivers makers which took the idea of a sandwich with a foam core structure : also B&W ? The brand also than Focal Audio speakers chose... iirc.

So one thing that is kind of weird is that despite being ceramic, they also seem to use the standard 3-part construction. Cone, dust cap and voice coil former.

Actually it's weird any metal cone driver does this too.

Wonder why. I mean if I was going to go through the trouble of making a pure ceramic driver, I would at least eliminate the dust cap.
