I've been told of a red putty that professional painters use. Does anyone know exactly what it is? Do you have a brand name?

2-part epoxy mixture. The hardener is coloured red so you can estimate the amount you need to mix with the resin mixture. Useful for repairing rust holes in old cars. And it's not pure glue, it's mostly putty-like stuff.
If that's not what you mean, then: red coloured "primer" for wood? You can sand it down so it's super smooth, before painting on top of it. CM |

Thanks CM, I picked up a tube of Bondo Spot Putty. I know regular Bondo can be brittle. This stuff is supposed to be good on ABS so it should work on MDF (I hope). I'll report my results.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up using Dynatron Glazing and Spot Putty from Bondo Corporation. It's much better than wood filler for hiding the seams and other goofs in MDF. I also found a 100% Acrylic Primer from Benjamin Moore Paints. Works great on MDF too.
