I need to build a BSC filter for my Fostex FE206E drivers in ML TL Enclosures. From PartsExpress I got all the necessery parts but ERSE 3 mH Inductors (out of stock). Now I wonder Is this the only Inductor recomended to make this filter or could I use some other type; aircore.....
If I can? which one? Is there somebody who could recomend some alternative. I am a bit anxious to hear the difference. Thanks, Levon |

As far as I'm aware you can certainly use an air cored inductor.
Given the low Q of the FE206E going for low DCR is not needed. So you could use any decent aircored inductor, choice is really dependant on DCR, plenty of alternatives at Parts Express. |
