Have a phonic passive not active speaker Model No P550
This speaker being passive with the network of filters 24 dB / octave Linkwitz-Riley electronic crossover has a FET with bridge Rectifiers Across the input as fitted in manufacture.
Could this be a protection circuit of some sort?
It also has a problem where as the sound from the tweeter appears to warble at mid range frequencies. the unit has 2 units, tweeter and woofer.
All the capacitors and coils in the crossover, check OK.
The FET was broken from board and the associated zener has been replaced.
Cant find a circuit diagram or information anywhere.
Can any one throw any light on the subject.
