It's not publicly linked on his site, but Zaph discussed a reduced BSC version of his public L18 design that had been used for nearfield monitoring.

See these threads, which includes links to the modified crossover (in the second Zaph specifically mentions nearfield studio monitoring):

http://www.htguide.com/forum/showthread.php?28221-Nearfield-design-considerations&

I haven't checked whether the crossovers in those two threads (separated by several years) are actually identical, and I haven't owned or built either version so take this for what it's worth...

Actually, I just checked and the version linked from the 2007 HTGuide thread - http://www.zaphaudio.com/temp/L18-27TBFCG-1650LR4-studio.gif - is definitely different to the version posted here in 2005. The HTGuide thread is also worth reading (at least to me as a "just follow the instructions" type not an engineer) for Zaph's comments on crossover component selection.

I've had this bookmarked for ages as a possible home office speaker. One day...
