There is a mismatch between the speakers in the studios and the audience. Price is a big factor. The average Joe spends $5 on a burger lunch , interestingly the average Joe is the mass market. So the average Joe can spare $5 a day for half the month for a maximum three months before he tosses his hands in the air. That comes to $225, actually this is as much as he can spare , so if he wants cheap studio quality speakers this is as much as he is willing to part with for one of a pair. Currently diyaudio doesnt have a project such as this. Shipping the mdf boxes is just too expensive, mdf is readily available world wide and carpenters are everywhere. What the average Joe might need are the plans and drivers.
The aim of this project is to make studio quality speakers available to the average Joe. As such all speaker gurus are invited to provide their own version of the dancehall gemstone using their choice of drivers (find attached dancehall gemstone)
Assumptions
1. Each speaker should not consume more than three mdf boards
2. The crossover frequencies are 2khz, 200Hz, 60Hz

This speaker provides all round music enjoyment
Some motivational stuff
