I have no doubts.. silk is history..Kind of similar - silk and paper vs aluminum..

What's wrong with silk?
Boring sound without fine details..
Transducer-Lab have very good explanation about silk on their site..

I understand you are going for higher slopes, but that still seems like a lot of components to me. And what's with the textbook type values and Zobel? Modern software should let you dispense with all that and model just the components you need with just the values you need. My .02 anyway...

There is no way to get 'higher slopes' without using 'lot of components'..
Values are appropriate for purpose..
