Finding driver data the hard way.

Hi! I have some various speaker elements laying around in my "workshop". It seems that i must test them physicaly, whit mic, setup and recording of results.. Come to think that this way would give me the most exact data because my driver may differ sligthly from the driver the data sheet is based on.?? Anyway, i need to get some intro to how to do this. I have some idea, but i need info from someone with experience. Give me some good tips now!! Love you all! rgs Luckyme..
