I recently purchased a class A speaker. I found out that one of the tweeter is not giving its full stength. That means, I always felt an imbalanced from the speaker due to it. When I hear it closely, I noticed a loss of high tune sound from this tweeter, when comparing to the other one.
Can anyone help to found out if this is the tweeter's problem itself or maybe a problem elsewhere. Othe midrange and bass is fine, therefore, I don't think it is the problem of the crossover. Any idea? Thanks, Thomas |

Swap the left and right speaker wires and see if the weak high frequencies move to the other side. If so, the problem's in the amp, otherwise it's the crossover, wiring or the tweet. It seems unusual that the tweeter would work but be weak.
