Default Hurricane C

As mentioned in Pass aleph builders thread iŽll make the Hurricane C speaker design available for diy.
Starting with a coupple of pictures iŽll sort out the drawings and description and return with those. Tis is a really nice speaker very suitable for lower powered amps, it handles a lot of power if You like it loud.

That midrange looks like an interesting piece. Where did you find those?

Hi Jeremy. The 5" is a chinese oem piece, i suppose sold under different names according to market, i bought a pile from a Swedish car audio agency. Its a good kevlar cone real rubber suspension and a big ceramic magnet. Qts 0.32 Fs 51 sensitivity 93dB and 120W rating, It realy handles that much power but 5" starts compressing around 110dB.
Background: This speaker (the entire system ) was designed when a friend who wouldŽnt let go of his old, rather low powered, amp but wanted new speakers liked the horns i used in the workshop, except for the size. The design goals then were to get the same dynamic behaviour and good sensitivity in a small speaker.
