Default reason for looking....

I have a pair of the JA-0510 tweeters (45mm dome?) from those models, and I am considering trying to combine them with the 8" Jaycar Carbons I have on the shelf. Was wondering if the tweeter really goes to 20k or if it suffers from off-axis drop.

Your link shows that, as suspected, the -20kHz claim is a bit of a furphy...it actually drops off around 16k.. (so it should be a good match to my hearing !!!)

Probably use 2nd order AR based series, around the 2k+ mark, as shown on the link page.

Aim is a black trapezoidal cabinet, with solid Tassie Blackwood front baffle. Slot vented. Tuned to about 30Hz. Full design yet to be figured.

Better than my hearing.

That's a big dome....... had a 35mm dome on some Yamaha NS10M's that I used to have and I thought they were large. Helped to crossover at 2000Hz though.
