Question Need t/s parameters for RS 40-1033 (6.5" woofer)

Hello,

I'm looking into making some 2-way towers using a couple of Radio Shack 6.5 in. woofers I picked up 2 years back. I need to get the Thiele-Small Parameters to determine box dimensions and design. If anyone has the t/s info or has any experience using these drivers in an enclosure your help would be greatly appreciated.

The drivers are Radio Shack 40-1033 and basic stats are here:

It is not difficult to measure the parameters yourself.

The classic way to do it:

Another way:

You do not need a signal generator or a frequency counter because you can download a program that serves as a substitute as long as you have a soundcard - I just use the headphone out of my powered speakers and a little jig I built:

All you need is a 10 ohm 1% resistor and a Multimeter and some hookup wire...

Thanks everyone for the information. I've got the box together already and am in the middle of the painting process. MDF is a real pain to paint with spray paint so it's slow going at the moment. Once I get the drivers in and give it a test run I will post some final pictures and measurements. In the mean time here are some shots of the cabinets before they started getting blasted with enamel.

Cheers
