Mystery speakers, prototype?

Does anyone know what these are? Who makes them? There is nothing stamped anywhere on them. The fronts are a fiberglass casing and they weigh over 150 lbs. each.

Looks like an attempt at making an ultimate party speaker. Open them up, you may find money or drugs stashed inside.

They look vaguely familiar, unfortunately I can't remember exactly where I saw them or who made them, and this was several decades ago. They weren't cheap either.

Allison come to mind instantly. Roy Allison played with some very unique geometries in some of his designs. Be nice if you pulled the drivers, tweeters, crossovers and check for any identifiers such as speaker codes etc.

The tweeters are a Philips model, ca 1980-1985-ish. Allison does come to mind for me as well, but I don't know what these are as a whole.

But notice the attempt to appear as if designed for time alignment (mids backed up to woofers). I don't recall Allison ever getting into that stuff.

Ok, the phillips tweeters and shape kind of remind me of some test speakers i spied in the GA Tech audio lab ages ago. It was semi cylindrical section at the top with 4 tweeters and maybe 4 mids. My memory is hazy but it was an attempt to achieve very wide dispersion. certainly no vertical dispersion and i kind of remember the tweeters and mids time aligned, but i may be confusing it eith another stepped three way. the lab was fond of phillips, vifa and eminence though
