Hi,
I have a PDF file for the Audax 828 kit which I've built but I can't post the file for you guys......so drop me an email and I'll send it that way. A lot better kit than the ones above! Cheers Keith: |

Beware of the kls9!!! This design is, at least, sloppy! The crossover is inadequate for higher level listening as it didn't protect the tweeter from entering in its resonance region at levels too high for it and the tuned port is liliputian creating nasty compression inside the cabinet with the well known effect! The drivers by themselfes are good (I still work with them with very good results) but this design is widely inaccurate.
Just keep away from the kls9... |

I think I would go with the Auriga if you want a completed, well documented, full range project. The Focal tweeter will not be given but this is for sure a good unit. You will encounter beaming effect of the high frequencies since the 7" is a little bit large for diffusing 4kHz but the HDA cone is light and well damped; it should sound just right, but only at the sweet spot and with some loudspeaker toe-in... You could also look for an HM130Z project if you want bookshelfs or little floorstandings.
Good luck! |

Hi Zappa,
Regarding your comments about the KLS9 design being a poor two way, do you have a good three way design using the HM210Z12. I'd be keen to look at any design you may have had success with. Cheers, |

We will not doing threadjacking here, and since some people seems to own HM210Z, I think about starting a thread about a 3 way project based on this woofer family. I don't have a completed project to publish at this time, but it could be interesting to share developpement ideas during the progress of the experimentations
