Question equivalence electric and mechanical (acoustic) correction SPL

I have some loudspeaker with a few not large peak and hole (or other non-flats) in SPL-diagram. I use graphic or parametric EQ for correction and get flat SPL. Is it indeed equivalence?
EQ utilize not only because non-flat initial SPL, but also for correction room response.

Correcting speakers electronically is equivalent to crossover correction.

But a good loudspeaker design will not include room corrections,
so these corrections have no equivalence.

I fully agree with sreten but take it a step further - I would not correct for the room with an equalizer.

I'm sure you want to know why so I'll tell you.

I want the wave front that travels from the speaker directly to my ears to be as close as possible to the output of the amp. If there are problems with the room they should be corrected by modifying the room, its contents, or by altering speaker/listener placement.
